Essential Functions
Position Summary
The School Clerk courteously and efficiently provides accurate information to callers and the public, receives guests and visitors, and answers telephones. This position supports school operations and contributes to a welcoming, organized, and student-centered school environment. This is an on-site position.
This is an on-site position based at a school site; remote work is not available for this role.
Essential Functions
Guest & Visitor Support
- Greet the public, guests, and visitors and direct them to proper destinations.
- Receive calls and inquiries, provide accurate information, and make proper referrals.
School Operations Manager Support and Office Management
- Provide support to the School Operations Manager with the student enrollment process, daily and weekly student attendance reports, and the Food and Nutrition Program.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Prepare and maintain files and records.
- Photocopy correspondence, memos, reports, and other documents as needed.
- Maintain adequate office supplies inventory.
Student Support
- Provide first aid assistance to students as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties

Minimum Qualifications
- An earned High School Diploma or the equivalent, or higher from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a fast-paced administrative support position.
- Detail-oriented with experience in data entry.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to foster positive working relationships.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and verbal communication
- Strong leadership, team management, and project execution skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Proficient use of Google-based applications
- Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
- Background check clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a public charter school, charter management organization or public school district
- Proficiency in using school-based information systems and applications
